Varanasi: Underground parking will be built in Purvanchal’s largest Galla Mandi Visheshwarganj.
Underground parking will be constructed in Vishweshwarganj, the largest wholesale market of Purvanchal. The oldest market of Banaras, situated on Municipal Corporation land, is in about 16 bighas. For this, talks have been held with shopkeepers. They will be given shops there. Similarly, a proposal has been made to build multi-storey parking in Machhodari School.
This information was given by Minister of State Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari on the public problems raised by the intelligentsia in the meeting organized by Varanasi Development Committee on Monday. He said that six lanes will be built between Chowkaghat and Rajghat. The proposal will soon be approved by the cabinet. Apart from this, the construction of Chowkaghat flyover will be completed in December. Kajjakpura flyover will pass over the railway dam bridge. Four lane will be built from Puranapul to Ring Road via Sarnath.
He told that the website of the sacred path of Kashi will be released next week. In which information about the religious places of Kashi will be available from anywhere. Its booklet has been prepared. The meeting was dominated by issues including drinking water, traffic system, flyover under construction, New Kashi, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. The wise people unanimously asked to take suggestions from the city’s wise people, architects, Sanatan Dharma people for the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor.
